Our story

We are SCUL Collective, a group of photographers from Southampton, UK.

Our work centres on documenting the local built environment. Whilst each photographer approaches this subject in their own way and for specific reasons, we all share a fascination in the human-altered landscape around us.

Our collective was formed in early 2023 by local photographers Jan Pavelka and Tom Westbury. Our aims are to build a community for photographers making work in, and about, the South Coast of England.
