Chris is a Birmingham-native civil servant who has been taking photos since his parents gave him his first point and shoot aged 10.
Primarily focused on shooting photographic film since his teen years, almost two decades later Chris continues to almost exclusively use physical media that offer a tangible creative experience in an increasingly digital world. Developing most of his work at home he shoots on 35mm and medium format film, generally leaning towards still lifes and landscapes, both natural and urban. When the seasons allow he is also a traditional darkroom printer at home, and starting to experiment in the hazy world of historic alternative processes.
Over the last few years he has undertaken a few personal small photobook/photozine projects that have variously approached: the relationship between human funerary rites and the natural environment, the isolating loneliness of the static times during the Pandemic, and the remote Atlantic island of St Helena.
His collected works can be found in his portfolio:

He is also an independent music writer, covering Ambient, Drone, and other Alternative music since 2012 on his personal website www.hearfeel.co.uk. In the writing world, Chris has collaborated with other artists such as multidisciplinarian Arash Akbari, providing a set of
complementary poems to his 2022 album Amnestic Continuum (Farpoint Recordings).
